Information for Parents

The Specialist study skills support service that is provided by Lindsay Nova Tuition is a confidential service, therefore, whilst information about the services I offer is available on my website, and I am happy to provide general information to third parties, I cannot discuss any information regarding a student’s support with anyone except the student themselves. I am also unable to confirm to third parties if a student has contacted me.

If a student would like me to share information about themselves, or their support, with third parties, including parents, they need to send an email to confirm this. The email needs to be sent from their university email address to lindsay@novatuition.org and clearly state the following:

  • That the student consents to me sharing information about them with a named third party

  • The contact details to be used when communicating with the named third party

  • What types of information they permit me to discuss with the named third party

The student is welcome to contact me at any time at lindsay@novatuition.org to withdraw their consent or to amend the information held.

If parents provide any information to me about a student who is engaging with my service, I will share with the student the details of any information provided to me.

If you have concerns about a student’s wellbeing, you may wish to contact staff at their university. However, it is also usual for university staff to be unable to share information with third parties without the consent of the student.
