About Me

I hold a Post-graduate Certificate in Teaching Adult Dyslexic Learners in Further and Higher Education. I am a dedicated and highly skilled professional with over 20 years of tutoring experience, providing tuition for adults. My expertise lies in delivering specialist study skills support to university students with dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD, making a significant impact on their academic journeys. I am proficient in supporting students, regardless of the subject they are studying.

My role is pivotal in the academic success of many students. I understand the unique challenges and demands that university-level education presents, particularly for neuro-diverse students, and am committed to helping students navigate these challenges effectively.

I am skilled in supporting students to develop study strategies that are tailored to their preferred way of working and the demands of their course. I support students in developing a full range of study skills, including those needed for effective essay writing, critical thinking, time-management, organisation, attendance at lectures and seminars and exam preparation.

I place students at the heart of everything I do, priding myself on understanding each student’s specific needs and giving them the guidance they need to reach their academic goals.

My passion for helping students succeed, and my expertise in delivering study skills support, ensures students are equipped with the tools they need to succeed in their studies and future careers.

I have a thorough knowledge of the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) application process and am able to provide specialist study skills support to students that have this support funded through the DSA.

I am a member of PATOSS and a registered provider of Non-Medical Help.
